YURT STOVES

Nothing beats going to sleep whilst watching the flames from the stove flicker around your yurt, feeling the heat from the stove on your face and knowing just how cold it is outside. A yurt would not in many ways be complete without the addition of a wood burning stove. We have used many different styles of stoves over the last 18 years, ranging from various traditional Mongolian stoves, ornately made open fire stands through to UK made stoves with ovens and double walled flues. So we have plenty of opinions on the subject. However we do not sell stoves, flues or any of the fittings for installing a stove in your yurt. We believe this is a specialist area and it is best left to the professionals. Below are details of two companies that customers have recommended to us.

Ulaantaij Ltd are regrettably unable to advise you on safety aspects of stove installation. We are always happy to talk about your project and share experience and ideas, but this does not constitute advice and final decisions about and responsibility for installations remain with the customer. Only HETAS-qualified bodies can give advice and manage installations. ..
